Repeat Prescriptions

If you are on regular medication you will be issued with a repeat prescription slip. You can post this or bring it into the medical centre indicating on the slip which items you need. Please allow 48 hours for your request to be processed. We cannot provide same day prescriptions and it is your responsibility to ensure your repeat request is submitted in time. Please note we cannot accept requests for prescriptions over the telephone or by email.

However, you can register at the surgery for online repeat medication, you will be issued with a passwords which will allow you to order these via above.

We require two forms of identification prior to access being granted.

Please note your prescription will not be processed if you are past your review date with your doctor. After 48 working hours, your prescription can be collected from the desk or we can post it back to you if you include a stamped addressed envelope. It can also be collected from the pharmacy attached to the building if you mark your slip with a P in the upper left hand corner, or it can be forwarded to the pharmacy of your choice. You must also ensure you make your medication review appointments as we cannot guarantee the GPs will issue repeat prescriptions if your medication review is overdue.

Electronic prescription service (EPS)

If you are on regular medications – EPS is a more convenient way to collect prescriptions.

We send the prescription electronically to a pharmacy chosen by you so it is ready for collection from the pharmacy without having to come to the surgery.  EPS is useful if you have a pharmacy near to you and/or more convenient than attending the surgery and you use the same pharmacy to collect your prescriptions.

Certain controlled medication cannot be sent by EPS and you will have to collect your prescription from the surgery.
